Garland Independent School District serves most of the city’s students. Garland ISD educates 57,000 students across 71 campuses, and it ranks as the 2nd largest school district in Dallas County. The remainder of Garland students are served by the Dallas, Mesquite and Richardson Independent School Districts.  If you're a sports enthusiast, Garland ISD has 7 high schools with Friday night Fooball, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Softball, Volleyball, Tennis and Swim Teams.
